GNDR has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer (LLGI) to support GNDR’s project "Local Leadership for Global Impact" (LLGI) project, funded by BMZ. The project will be implemented in over 50 countries through project partners, and seeks to ensure local data and perspectives informs holistic development actions, ensure climate projection data is used by local actors to plan for future disasters and build community resilience through local government contingency planning. The role will be involved in:
Supporting the implementation and coordination of the LLGI project, including monitoring actvities of partners and support learning and producing case studies;
Supporting project partners including due diligence, training and project administration;
Advocacy, supporting the use of learning to influence key policy-makers;
Donor Coordination, supporting the review of partner projects and the consolidation of those reports for donor submission;
External Representation, supporting the awareness raising of project findings at meetings and events;
The role will also provide support to a number of other projects undertaken by GNDR and support the development of new applications for funding.
Candidates must have a background in implementing development and resilience projects, including a good knowledge of people-centred development approaches and risk informed development. Candidates must also have experience of involvement in the full project cycle including the design of projects and writing donor proposals; monitoring implementation and facilitating learning, as well as project administration. In addition, experience of advocacy, lobbying and campaigns is required to support the influencing work of LLGI. Candidates will be educated to degree level. All candidates must be fluent in English.
