GNDR is seeking a consultant to facilitate partnership brokering between GNDR and our partner DKH for the ‘Local Leadership for Global Impact’ project. This is an interesting and exciting opportunity for a consultant who is experienced in partnership brokering to review our work together.
Staff involved are open to learning and reflection in this process, so that they can improve their individual and collaborative work for mutual benefit of our organisations and members. It will support staff to mark significant achievements in 2021, especially in the context of Covid-19, and set them on a successful path for 2022.
GNDR is a network of 1600 organisations across 127 countries striving to build resilience of disaster-prone communities. The Local Leadership for Global Impact project has ambitiously set up connections with members in over 50 countries to achieve risk-informed development, develop localised climate projections and community-led contingency plans. It seeks to strengthen capacity, implement local action and influence changes at a variety of policy levels.
The purpose of the partnership brokering exercise is to support staff and project partners objectively reflect on their work, the targets they set in their partnering vision and agreement, learn from the past year and consider appropriate changes moving forward. It aims to assess the impact of the first year of our partnership together.
Deliverable 1: Individual conversations with key staff, and plan set up for partnership brokering review
Deliverable 2: Facilitation of online workshops - dates to be confirmed, but w/c January 24 or January 31 preferred.
Deliverable 3: Report of partnership progress made in 2021, with recommendations for programme changes and/or improved partnering in 2022.
All applicants must have:
Proven experience in partnership brokering
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, both written and spoken, in English
Excellent analytical skills
The review is desk-based and expected to take approximately 3-5 days, between 15 January and 14 February 2022. There is also a possibility of completing the work for future annual reviews in November 2022 and November 2023.
